Email marketing is probably one of the most effective ways to draw traffic to your web site. Email marketing allows you to follow up with people, and tell them all about your business. A proven fact is that most people will not buy or join something the first time they see it. So what most big Internet marketers do is send people email messages explaining their business to them.
The key to email marketing is writing good emails, and knowing what to say. We will go over this in more detail later on.
Solo Email Ads
Solo email ads are probably the best type of email advertising you can buy. A solo email ad can cost anywhere from $15 - $100+ depending on how many people will be receiving your solo email ad.
So just exactly what is a solo email ad? Well a solo email ad is when your ad is sent out to someone's list by it self. That's why it's called a solo email ad, because it isn't being sent with any other messages only yours is sent out.
How To Write Your Own Solo Ads
Ok so you're probably wondering how to write good email messages. The number one rule in any email message is that you shouldn't really try to sell them. You should be more informational if anything. Also always make sure to leave your contact information in your email messages. These two steps are the basics.
Now in your email messages you should sound convincing, but don't be too aggressive it might scare your potential customers away. Also make sure you keep your message short, and try not to ramble on about random stuff. Make sure you get to the point, and try to hold the readers attention by using action words.

Here are some more tips to writing your own solo ads that you can take away and try out for yourself.
The Subject:
Take care to ensure your subject line stands out and grabs the reader's attention. Just think of all the email that your prospect probably receives... Plenty right? So your subject line really needs to be eye-catching.

The Salutation:
Wherever possible, you should include a greeting in your solo ad to make it more personal. If you enter [firstname] in your ad copy, the publisher will enter the subscriber's first name if it is possible to do so with their system.
Here are some other salutations that you can use:
- Attention Affiliate Promoters
- Attention All Internet Marketers
- Attention All Network Marketers
- Dear Fellow Marketer
- Dear Profit Seeker
- Hello Affiliate Promoter
- To All Serious Internet Marketers

Grabbing the Reader's Attention:
The content of your solo ad needs to grab the reader's attention.
Start your copy off with one or two attention-grabbing sentences. This can be a question, a comment or a bold statement.
In the next paragraph, finish the attention-grabbing statement with two to three lines of text.
Paste in your link.
Now enter another paragraph with no more than four lines of text.
Then enter a sentence leading to a bulleted list.
Enter up to five bullet-list points.
Enter a two to three line paragraph outlining the main points in your bulleted list.
Paste in your link.
The Call To Action:
Enter a short three to four line paragraph telling the reader HOW this product will help them.
Provide a few lines of text telling the reader WHY they want to click on your link.
Build a sense of urgency where possible, especially if your offer is time-limited. Make it clear here.
Enter a one line closing sentence.
Paste in your link.
The Signoff:
Always end a solo ad with an ending salutation and your contact details. Here are some salutations you can use:
- Yours faithfully
- Sincerely
- To Your Success
- Kind Regards
- Best Wishes
- Warm Regards
- Yours Truly
PS:
Postscripts are eye-catchers and a good place to include a special offer, like a discount, or mention the guarantee or the bonus offer. You can even have another paragraph with PSS if you have more to say.
Using An Auto Responder
I'm sure you've heard it all before, and I'm going to say it again. The money is in the list. Now I'm sure that isn't the first time you've heard it, and it probably wont be the last. But the saying is absolutely true. If you want to make money online you must have some type of follow up system in place, and an auto responder is a must have for any online business you are running.
With email marketing everyone uses what is called an auto responder. An auto responder will allow you to create and manage a list of people who opt in through your capture page. You then can have your auto responder automatically send out messages to your email list every couple of days.
Auto responders also allow you to send what are called broadcast
messages. A broadcast message is a one-time message that you can blast out to your entire list of people telling them of important events that might be coming up, or anything you might want them to know about.
For our lead capture pages we use a program called Aweber. It's one of the leading auto responder companies in the market. If for some reason you wish to build your own lead capture page I suggest you use Aweber as your auto responder as they are very easy to use and it offers a user friendly interface.

Here is and email messages we have created just so you can get a feel for how one should be set up. Again this is just an example.
Hi "NAME",

This is just a sample email message that I would send in one of my auto responders. As you can see the message explains to them what I am offering them and it also gives a sense of urgency.
Another good technique to use in email marketing is giving stuff away for free. Everyone loves free stuff, and giving away a free ebook or gift will only make the people in your list happy. For instance you can use one of the ebooks you get with Abunza and attach it to the first email you send them.
